Introduction
For those not versed in astrology, I will explain the terms used.
The horoscope is the natal chart, which is the position of the planets when I took my first breath, which was as follows

Sun 23.01 degrees in Scorpio in 3rd house
Ascendant 10.37 degrees in Virgo in first house
Descendant 10.37 degrees in Pisces in 7th house
Moon 12.38 degrees in Leo in 12th house
Mercury 10.37 degrees in Scorpio on cusp of houses 2 and 3
Venus 7.04 degrees in Llibra in 1st house
Mars 14.29 in Capricorn in 5th house
Jupiter 1.45 in Sagittarius in 3rd house
Saturn 3.35 degrees in Pisces in 6th house
Uranus 2.42 degrees in Taurus in 8th house
Neptune 16.28 degrees in Virgo in 1st house
Pluto in 27.20 degrees in Cancer in 11th house
The aspect is the angle in degrees between planets. A ‘hard’ aspect is 0,180, 90, 60 degrees. A transit is when the planets are lined up in hard aspect to the position of the planets in my birth chart, known as the natal position. ‘Hard aspect’ of 0 degrees, like sun and moon at new moon is known as ‘conjunction’. 180 degrees apart, like sun and moon at full moon is known as ‘opposition’. 90 degrees apart, like sun and moon in first and last quarter is known as square, and 60 degrees apart is known as ‘trine’.
The transits are abbreviated as follows: Saturn in conjunction with my natal sun is said to be ‘on my sun’. The ‘orb’ is the difference between the actual aspect in degrees and exactitude (0, 180, 90, 60 degrees) The smaller the orb the stronger the transit.
The angular position of the sun, moon and planets is shown for every day in a book called an ephemeris, published for each century or half century. The calculation of the ascendant (rising sign at birth) is done most easily by computer, which will also print out the horoscope, and transits for any chosen day.
I list my breakdowns in reverse order, most recent first, giving the astrological data pertaining at the time.
Breakdown 6 (July 2006-?Feb 2007 inclusive)
This was similar to breakdown 5, with a similar set of transits, but this time I also got a frozen right shoulder and a swollen left knee. (I have no problem now with the right knee, which was checked by the doctor in Oct 2006 and declared arthritis free. He was very surprised, having told me in 2005 that it would get worse and I would have to have an artificial one). Uranus was on (ie in conjunction with) my descendent, 10.37 Pisces (meaning 10 degrees, 37 minutes in pisces).

Neptune in Aquarius opposes Saturn within a 8 degree orb for over a year from 10.7.06 – 21.8.07 ((28.24-20.26) They are in exactitude on 1.9.06 (17.52) and on 28.2.07, (20.16) but has otherwise been within a 3 degree orb from 12.8.06 (15.26-18.24) to 22.9.06, and from 3.2.07 (22.16-19.17) until 4.4.07 18.(23-21.21) This opposition is particularly strong for me as I have Neptune opposed Saturn in my birth chart. This gives me a brief triple whammy in Oct 06 and Feb 07.

I was unable to walk more than 25 yards throughout May, which is explained by a triple whammy in mid May when Mars joined Uranus on my descendant on 16th May. Saturn in cancer also trined my sun in scorpio on 23 degrees 1 minute, with exactitude (0 orb) on 17th May. It had a 2.5 degree orb in March, and had gone beyond orb by the end of May. I was examined by my GP in April who said that my right knee had severe osteoarthritis which was degenerative, and I would have to have an artificial knee. I saw a rheumatologist in May who offered me a cortisone injection which I declined.
